Access rights for small scale fisheries

Australia does not have specific legislation for small-scale fisheries however Australia’s fisheries management systems provide appropriate legislative and policy frameworks for all fisheries equally.

The FAO, as the custodian agency of this Indicator and the responsible data compiler, will be drawing on responses to its Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF) questionnaire, collected every two years. Australia most recently submitted in April 2018.
