SDG Indicators
The Sustainable Development Goals comprise of 17 Goals, 169 targets and 232 indicators. The global indicator framework was adopted by the UN General Assembly on 6 July 2017 (A/RES/71/313). The UN Inter-Agency Expert Group on the SDGs are responsible for developing and implementing the indicators. The SDGs indicator website provides detailed information on the indicators, methodology, focal points and the global database, https://unstats.un.org/sdgs/.
An indicator can be a set of data or policy statement that reports against the relevant Australian SDGs, they assist in measuring progress against targets and goals.
